JOB - Technical Writer
LOCATION - Hemel Hempstead
TERM - Permanent
SALARY - £30,000 to £40,000 per annum (plus benefits)
Premier Engineering is currently working with an innovative Engineering company based in Hemel Hempstead. They are looking to bring on a Technical Writer to join their growing team and support their diverse range of engineering projects.
The Technical Writer will ideally have the following attributes:
- Proven experience in creating technical documentation for engineering or manufacturing companies.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency with documentation tools such as MS Word, Adobe FrameMaker, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with CAD drawings and engineering diagrams is advantageous (Inventor)
- Ability to understand complex technical concepts and communicate them clearly.
- A degree or relevant qualification in Engineering, Technical Writing, or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience within Furniture design/knowledge.
- Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively.
The Technical Writer role will involve:
- Developing and maintaining technical documentation, including user manuals, service guides, and technical specifications.
- Collaborating closely with engineering teams to gather information and ensure accuracy in documentation.
- Reviewing and updating existing documentation to align with current products and standards.
- Translating technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly documents for a range of audiences.
- Ensuring consistency in style, tone, and formatting across all technical materials.
- Supporting the creation of training materials and other communication tools as needed.
