Supplier Quality Engineer 

Location - Hull

Salary - Up to £42,000

Supplier Quality Engineer role:

    • Evaluate and qualify new suppliers in alignment with company standards.
    • Conduct on-site audits of supplier facilities to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
    • Develop and maintain supplier quality agreements and performance metrics.
    • Review supplier-provided documentation, including first article inspections (FAI), certificates of conformance (CoC), and test reports.
    • Ensure proper implementation of quality standards, such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or other industry-specific requirements.
    • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues using tools like 8D, CAPA, or root cause analysis
    • Identify areas of improvement in supplier processes and collaborate on corrective and preventive actions.
    • Implement statistical methods, Six Sigma, or Lean methodologies to enhance supplier performance.
    • Monitor and analyze supplier performance data to track trends and drive continuous improvement.

Supplier Quality Engineer Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a quality engineering role, preferably in manufacturing.
    • Experience working with suppliers in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
