Experienced SQL Developer job description

We are looking for a SQL developer to develop MS-SQL queries and procedures, create custom reports, and enhance organizational productivity of our bespoke software. Responsible for designing databases and ensuring stability, reliability, and performance.

SQL Developer duties and responsibilities

  • Development of high-quality database solutions 
  • Develop, implement, optimize stored procedures and functions using T-SQL
  • Review and interpret ongoing business report requirements
  • Research required data
  • Build appropriate and useful reporting deliverables
  • Analyse existing SQL queries for performance improvements
  • Suggest new queries
  • Develop procedures and scripts for data migration
  • Interacting with the business and technical teams to understand requirements

SQL Developer requirements and qualifications

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience as a SQL Developer or similar role
  • Excellent understanding of T-SQL programming
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft SQL Server 
  • 5 years of experience with SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Analysis Services
  • Familiarity with the practical application of NoSQLNewSQL databases
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Team player
  • Good time-management skills
  • Familiarity with SQL Server 2012,2016,2019
  • Welcome knowledge of the application Trello, ASANA, Slack, Jira
  • Welcome knowledge of version control environments TFS/GIT

 

We offer: £50,000 - £60,000
