Role- Senior Mechanical Engineer
Salary- £55,000 - £65,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Type- Permanent
Location- Derbyshire (Hybrid/Remote work available)
My client is an Engineering company in the Renewable Energy sector. They are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Derbyshire on a permanent basis.
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- BSc / BEng in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- 10 or more years’ of industry experience working in similar design and analysis focused role
- Excellent proficiency with CAD software – ideally SolidWorks or similar
- Proven ability to drive Engineering development
- Good mathematical and general engineering knowledge
- Excellent knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials – sheet metal, structural steel, process pipework etc.
- The ability to understand system requirements
- Be self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
- Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
The Senior Mechanical Engineer role will involve:
- Remote work (At home) with UK based project work assaignents
- Perform development activities and find new mechanical solutions
- Being involved in the product design and development process using CAD
- Working with high precision instrumentation products
- To develop and manage the mechanical engineering activities of major and minor projects to ensure that they are delivered safely, accurately and on time
- Modelling, analysis and the development of mechanisms
- Involved in building and developing prototypes
- Conducting design reviews
- Producing the relevant documentation that is required
- Driving continuous improvement
