- Have a strong background in Sales
- Have a good understanding of Marketing Strategy and Market Research
- Ideally have a background in Engineering, Physics, Science or a similar role
- Ideally be experienced in Technical Sales, with knowledge of quotations, technical specifications and orders
- Knowledge of precision equipment, fine instruments, or mechanisms would be beneficial
- HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / Degree qualified in Physics, Engineering or similar
- Be keen to develop as part of an organisation long term
- Good time management skills
- Be self-motivated and driven
- Proficient with using Microsoft Office – any CRM database knowledge would be a plus
- Excellent communication skills are required
- Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
- Working directly with customers to understand their requirements and produce quotations and orders
- Being involved in defining and implementing sales strategies
- Developing new marketing ideas and strategies
- Speaking to customers and undertaking market research
- Visiting tradeshows to exhibit the product range
- Understanding the technical side of how their products are designed and built
- Reacting to inquiries
- Investigating and resolving sales enquiries from both customers and distributors
- Offering a proactive Account Management approach for Distributors and updating customers at regular stages
- Liaising with different departments and colleagues as required
- Having the opportunity to grow with the company long term
