ROLE- Quality Engineer
LOCATION- West Berkshire
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £34,000 - £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
My engineering client are looking to take on a Quality Engineer, on a permanent basis, in the West Berkshire area.
The Quality Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
• Degree/ HNC/ HND / NVQ qualified in Engineering or be QBE
• 2 years’ or more experience in a similar Quality Technician or Quality Engineer position ideally with transferable skills and knowledge
• Previous experience working in a similar electronics components engineering manufacturing environment but other backgrounds may also be considered
• Ideally experienced in carrying out internal audits
• Excellent knowledge of ISO9001 – any other ISO experience would be desirable
• Able to work well individually as well as within a team
• Have excellent communication skills
The Quality Engineer role will involve:
• Working with the group Quality Manager
• Supporting all aspects of Quality – using methods such as 8D, 5 Why’s, Root Cause Analysis etc.
• Always looking to improve company processes and procedures
• Be involved in internal audits and leading this programme
• Understanding customer feedback
• Training other staff members with regards to processes and procedures
• Producing product reports as required
