Role- Project Engineer
Salary- £34,000- £46,000 per annum (Dependent on experience, please advise what you’re looking for)
Type- Permanent
Location- Berkshire
My engineering client are looking to take on a Project Engineer, on a permanent basis, in the Berkshire area.
The Project Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- Be Degree/ HND/ HNC/ NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering
- 2 years or more of industry experience would be desirable working in a similar Design or Project role in a mechanical engineering environment
- Experience of working on projects from concept to completion
- Very good attention to detail
- Knowledge of CAD software – ideally Autodesk Inventor, or SolidWorks, and AutoCAD
- Any previous experience of working with industrial machinery would be beneficial
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office programmes (MS Excel/ MS Project) would be an advantage
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well alone as well as part of a team
- Flexible to travel as needed as part of the role
The Project Engineer role will involve:
- Coordinating technical projects and ensuring they remain within budget and are delivered on time
- Preparing engineering proposals for customer requirements
- Being involved in project management, equipment design and CAD drafting – using Inventor
- Planning and scheduling engineering work
- Ensuring products perform correctly so carrying out product testing if needed
- Managing documentation submissions and producing the required product manuals
- Preparing project status reports
- Ensuring company standards are always adhered to
- Liaising between different departments and working with other offices / teams when required
