We are currently seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing company.
Your Role
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our product development and manufacturing process. You will be responsible for creating, improving, and modifying designs, ensuring they meet our clients' needs and industry standards. Your expertise will be utilized in various stages of the design process, from concept development to detailed engineering drawings. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and project managers, to ensure successful project execution.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and implement design concepts, ensuring they meet product specifications and requirements.
- Create detailed engineering drawings, incorporating necessary changes and improvements.
- Collaborate with other team members to optimize designs for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
- Perform mechanical calculations, simulations, and analysis to validate design integrity.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in mechanical engineering and manufacturing technologies.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Provide technical support and guidance during the production and assembly of products.
Your Skills and Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in using CAD software and other design tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Prior experience in mechanical design and engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience in IT and telecoms would be an advantage.
