Location: Peterborough
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum
About Us:
We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer on behalf of our esteemed client. Our client is a reputable engineering firm based in Peterborough.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing mechanical systems and products based on client specifications
- Conducting feasibility studies and cost analyses for new projects
- Creating detailed engineering drawings and specifications using CAD software
- Performing product testing and quality assurance to ensure adherence to industry standards
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize product performance and manufacturing processes
- Providing technical support and guidance to production teams during the manufacturing process
- Identifying areas for improvement and proposing innovative solutions to enhance product functionality and reliability
- Keeping up with the latest industry trends, technologies, and innovations
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Proven experience working as a Mechanical Design Engineer
- Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools
- Sound knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
