JOB –Manufacturing Engineer
LOCATION – Fareham
TERM - Permanent
SALARY – £35,000 - £48,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
We are looking for a Manufacturing, Production, Process or Industrialisation Engineer on a permanent basis in the Milton Keynes area. Your main duties will include assisting with new product introduction, tooling, jigs and fixtures management as well as root cause analysis and other manufacturing engineering responsibilities. We are considering junior or Graduate options for this position.
The Production / Manufacturing Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- Qualified in a relevant Engineering / Manufacturing Degree or qualified through experience as a Manufacturing, Production or similar Engineer role.
- Experience In a fabrication, assembly, machining or similar manufacturing business.
- Familiar with BOM’s, SOP’s and Tooling / Jigs&Fixtures
- Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Knowledge of continuous improvement or lean manufacturing
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Exposure to FMEA / APQP - advantageous
The Manufacturing / Production Engineer role will involve:
- Oversee introduction of new tooling, jigs, and fixtures.
- liaising with design on manufacturability of products.
- Carrying out Root Cause Analysis, 8D and other problem-solving activities.
- Helping to optimize the inhouse manufacturing process.
- Assist with other members of the business in continuous improvement activities.
