ROLE- Manufacturing Engineer
LOCATION- Berkshire
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £42,000- £48,000 per annum dependent on experience (Please advise what you’re looking for)
My engineering client are looking to take on an experienced Manufacturing Engineer, on a permanent basis, in the Berkshire area.
The Manufacturing Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- NVQ/ HNC / HND / Degree qualification in an Engineering subject preferred
- 4 years’ or more experience working in another engineering manufacturing environment
- Excellent knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
- Good knowledge of FMEA, PPAP and APQP
- Experience working with Document Control and BOM generation
- Any knowledge of HSE and COSHH regulations would be beneficial
- Be familiar with ISO9001 quality standards
- Be able to pay close attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Able to work well alone as well as part of a small team
The Manufacturing Engineer Engineer role will involve:
- Supporting the engineering and production team with the manufacture / development of products
- NPI coordination
- Providing engineering support for production activities
- Preparing work instructions for manufacturing processes
- Being involved with process development
- Raising and also processing ECN’s
- Making sure all processes are in line with Health & Safety requirements
- Creating and updating BOM’s
- Ensuring the correct jigs, fixtures and tooling are used for all processes
- Presenting monthly reports
- Visting suppliers offsite when needed
