ROLE- Manufacturing Engineer

LOCATION- Berkshire

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- £42,000- £48,000 per annum dependent on experience (Please advise what you’re looking for)

My engineering client are looking to take on an experienced Manufacturing Engineer, on a permanent basis, in the Berkshire area.

The Manufacturing Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

  • NVQ/ HNC / HND / Degree qualification in an Engineering subject preferred
  • 4 years’ or more experience working in another engineering manufacturing environment
  • Excellent knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
  • Good knowledge of FMEA, PPAP and APQP
  • Experience working with Document Control and BOM generation
  • Any knowledge of HSE and COSHH regulations would be beneficial
  • Be familiar with ISO9001 quality standards
  • Be able to pay close attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Able to work well alone as well as part of a small team

The Manufacturing Engineer Engineer role will involve:

  • Supporting the engineering and production team with the manufacture / development of products
  • NPI coordination
  • Providing engineering support for production activities
  • Preparing work instructions for manufacturing processes
  • Being involved with process development
  • Raising and also processing ECN’s
  • Making sure all processes are in line with Health & Safety requirements
  • Creating and updating BOM’s
  • Ensuring the correct jigs, fixtures and tooling are used for all processes
  • Presenting monthly reports
  • Visting suppliers offsite when needed
