Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced 3rd Line IT Support Engineer to join our client's team in Chertsey. As a 3rd Line Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance to both internal teams and external clients. Your strong troubleshooting skills and deep understanding of IT systems will play a critical role in resolving complex issues and ensuring optimal system performance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 3rd line support for IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and applications.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues escalated from lower support tiers.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to define and implement IT solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with the wider IT team to maintain and upgrade existing systems and infrastructure.
  • Document and update technical procedures, processes, and best practices.
  • Conduct system audits and make proactive recommendations for improvement.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a 3rd Line Support Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Exchange Server.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Excellent understanding of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex IT issues effectively.
  • Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant IT certifications (e.g., MCSE, CCNA) are desirable.
